Rhythm NewMedia offers track for iPhone mobile video ad monetisation
8 March, 2010 - 09:40Mobile video, ad network provider Rhythm NewMedia has launched a monetisation and advertising SDK for iPhone applications as an extension of its RAMP (Rhythm Advertising Media Platform) interactive video and display ad units.
Rhythm's SDK is already deployed and monetising a number of iPhone mobile video applications from broadcasters and content owners including CBS Mobile and Discovery Channel. The RAMP SDK already reaches hundreds of millions of unique impressions on mobile TV smartphone applications.
Sending a lucrative opportunity for advertising in mobile video, the company has engineered the new RAMP SDK to allow for full screen, interactive sponsorship messages while an application loads. This new ad unit will display on the momentarily idle screen, capturing the attention of iPhone users and creating a new brand building opportunity for advertisers.
Other features include five interactive ad units balancing brand engagement with response with interactive pre-roll video ads, said to be a unique feature in the industry. It also includes an application launch ad, full-page interstitial ads and banner ads that support click-to-video, click-to-website and click-to-iTunes. Real-time reporting with DoubleClick's DART and Microsoft's Atlas is claimed to provide simple integration for agencies and advertisers.
"We're pleased with the immense interest in our mobile ad SDK from premium media partners who desire to monetise applications with premium ad units that integrate seamlessly into their apps" commented Ujjal Kohli, CEO of Rhythm NewMedia.
